Veganism is far more than just a food choice. It also involves supporting and wearing cruelty-free productsSince 2015, more and more fashion brands have been focusing on targeting the vegan fashion market. From high fashion brands such as Stella McCartney to smaller, more niche brands, the supply is growing to match the demand. Even Gucci, Chanel, Burberry and Versace promised to no longer use fur in 2018. These luxury brands set the tone for the rest of the fashion industry. This may explain the giant decline in women's furs! Also, the vegan leather market is set to be worth $85 billion globally by 2025, according to a report by business consultancy Grand View Research (GVR).

Why? Consumer demand.

In the UK alone, a record amount of more than 250,000 people took part in “Veganuary” this year. The idea of "Veganuary" is to adopt a vegan diet for the month of January, in the name of saving animal's lives. The vegan lifestyle is expanding at high rates, making it a growing market for businesses - especially within the fashion industry.

But don't just take our word for it. The stats are real. The US, UK, Germany and France are all countries investing the most in vegan products. Paris’ commitment to become the capital of sustainable fashion by 2024 may increase the offering of vegan products. Another country to keep an eye on is Denmark, which has seen a 320% increase in products described as vegan, according to Edited.

This movement is bigger than clothing. When it comes to launching vegan products on the market, no sector is moving faster than beauty. There has been an increasing demand for cruelty-free cosmetics due to the rise of veganism as well as the protesting against animal testing. The beauty sector was responsible for 40% of vegan product launches in the US and 82% in the UK! The footwear industry is also quickly catching on. Vegan shoes jumped from 16% in 2017 to 32% in 2018. The world is catching on, which is why we at Vegan Club want you to join this amazing movement too and support all vegan brands!

Buy, sell, support vegan, cruelty-free wear!
